
Joseph M. Matalon, CD, BSc., Chairman
Joe is the founding Chairman of First Angels Jamaica, the country’s first Angel investor network. He is Chairman of ICD Group Holdings, which has interests in real estate, homebuilding, property management, general insurance underwriting, business process outsourcing (BPO), ecommerce and technology distribution through its subsidiary and associated companies British Caribbean Insurance, West Indies Home Contractors, WIHCON Properties, Advantage Communications, Intcomex LLC, and the Social Media Group.
Joe chairs the boards of two publicly listed companies, the RJRGLEANER Communications Group and 1834 Investments Limited. He also serves as co-Vice Chair of the USA-based International Youth Foundation, and as Chair of the ICD-affiliated Multicare Youth Foundation.. He served as President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica during the period 2009 to 2012 and has chaired and served on a number of special-purpose national committees that have advised Governments on economic, tax and financial policy matters. He has also served as chair of the Development Bank of Jamaica (2007-2016) and the Office of Utilities Regulation (2016-2020).
In 2012, recognising his contribution to Jamaica’s public and private sectors and to community service, the Government of Jamaica bestowed on him the Order of Distinction in the Rank of Commander (C.D.).

Sandra A. C. Glasgow, Managing Director
Sandra is the Founder and Managing Director of BizTactics Limited, a consulting company dedicated to mentoring growth-aspiring firms and promoting best-in-class corporate governance in the Caribbean. She is an Angel Investor having personally invested in 11 local companies and is a Co-Founder of Jamaica’s first Angel Investor Network, FirstAngelsJA. In 2021, she was named one of the top 50 Caribbean Women in Technology. In 2019 she was appointed a Senator representing Jamaica at the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF). She was Jamaica’s Eisenhower Fellow in 2000. She is the Founder of the Technology Innovation Centre, Jamaica’s first technology business Incubator, at the University of Technology, Jamaica. A graduate of the University of the West Indies, she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with a specialisation in the Management of Technology.
She is a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and serves on a number of boards of private and publicly listed companies, including the NCB Financial Group and National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited, two charities including the National Crime Prevention Fund, which she chairs.

Danielle Terrelonge, Director
Danielle is a marketing and communications professional based in Jamaica. Her company, DRT Communications Ltd. offers Marketing Communications and Media Monitoring Services to over 40 clients across the Caribbean. Danielle’s experience has had her developing and implementing marketing communications strategies for companies such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Red Bull, Red Stripe and several others. She is considered an expert in risk mitigation for businesses in the area of corporate communications as well as she worked with several companies through mergers, acquisitions and initial public offerings (IPOs). She has also worked with several companies to bring products and services to market locally and regionally. She is the first recipient of formal angel investment in the Caribbean and thus the first woman to receive this type of investment. She successfully attracted 3 local businessmen and women and a business as investors.
Danielle is also a fellow of Vital Voices,- an international organisation committed to the development of business women globally, and is a graduate of the University of the West Indies.

Kimala Bennett, Director
Kimala is an entrepreneurial visionary in the creative space as founder and CEO of the groundbreaking advertising and production company The Limners and Bards (L. A. B.) Ltd. The LAB has built a reputation as a fully integrated creative agency and production company which produces 360-degree campaigns from concept to consumer, with high-quality content, as well as audio and film production and in 2019 it became the first advertising agency and production company to be listed on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange
Kimala is determined to share her success by building those around her. She has published three manuals for Caribbean entrepreneurs: “Starting a Business in Jamaica”, “The Young Entrepreneurs Handbook, and “Let’s Talk Money.” Her passion for guiding and nurturing young entrepreneurs is inspired by her own opportunities studying internationally.
She studied at Mount Holyoke College, and thrived under the tutelage of the Network for Training Entrepreneurs and the internationally acclaimed Action Coach programme. She is currently enrolled in the Jack Welsh Management Institute EMBA programme.
She serves on several boards and has received awards including the 2019 Anthony Sabga Laureate for Caribbean Excellence in Entrepreneurship. She is also a recipient of the PSOJ ’50 Under Fifty Business Leaders Shaping Jamaica’s Future Awards’ ,Bigga’s High Achievers award and the Rotary Club of St Andrew North Vocational Service Award.

Mark Kovinsky, Director
Mark has built and managed innovative and customer-centric businesses for over 25 years, thriving as an investor and senior executive in high velocity, entrepreneurial environments, directly contributing to growth, efficiency and profitability.
He has seasoned strategic, financial and M&A skills with a consistent track record of driving acquired and organic growth. With a focus on value creation, as a leader of several transformative organisations, he has been involved in numerous investments, mergers, acquisitions and a wide range of other corporate finance transactions, including complex equity and debt financings totalling over $2B (USD) in aggregate value.
Most recently, Mark was co-founder, CEO and board member for Superior Biologics, Inc. making several contributions in Superior’s rapid emergence as a leading specialty pharmacy provider. During his tenure, the company grew from $0 to $250M in annual revenue and robust profitability. Mark is accredited as both a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant (Canada) and received his BBA in accounting, cum laude from Loyola University Maryland. Mark actively participates in charitable endeavours, next-gen angel investing and mentoring young entrepreneurs to reach their full potential.

Mayer Matalon, Director
Mayer has spent the majority of his 12-year career working in finance, first at Citibank and later at the independent financial advisory firm York
Investment Management, where he currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. Since 2014,
Mayer has served as a director of the ICD Group of Companies, a Jamaican conglomerate with interests in the areas of insurance, construction and development, business process outsourcing, eCommerce and distribution, both inside and outside of Jamaica.
Mayer also serves as an advisor to the Jamaican operations of the international charity Mustard Seed Communities, focusing on the ongoing sustainability of the organisation. Mayer holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada.

Sanya Goffe, Director
Sanya is an Attorney-at-Law and a Partner with the law firm Hart Muirhead Fatta. She was called to the Jamaican Bar in 2003 and her main areas of practice include Corporate, Commercial, Pensions and Intellectual Property law. Sanya is Jamaica’s 2020 Eisenhower Fellow.
She serves on numerous boards including Director of NCB Financial Group Limited, National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited, Jamaica Producers Group Limited and the advisory board of the National Insurance Fund. She is also Chairman of Stratus Alternative Funds SCC, an alternative investment fund company, as well as President of the Pension Industry Association of Jamaica.
Sanya and her husband co-founded the Adult Learning Centres of Jamaica, a non-profit organisation to provide adult literacy programs in Jamaica. An active member of the Jamaican Bar Association, Sanya presently serves as a member of the Bar Association’s Commercial Law and Intellectual Property Law Committees. She is also a member of the UK Association of Pension Lawyers and the International Pension and Employee Benefits Lawyers Association and the 2017 recipient of its Libby Slater Award.

Cristina Matalon, Company Secretary
Cristina is Company Secretary for the ICD Group and for all the companies within the ICD Group, and serves as Company Secretary of several other companies, including AMG Packaging and Paper Company Limited, a publicly listed company on the Junior Market of the Jamaican Stock Exchange.
Cristina is also a Trustee of the ICD Group Pension Plan, and serves as Secretary to the Trustees of the ICD Group Pension Plan and of the CGM Gallagher Jamaica Pension Plan.
Cristina has extensive experience in Company Law, and in managing mergers, acquisitions, divestments, liquidations and company re-organizations.
A firm believer in the strength and resilience of Jamaicans’ entrepreneurial spirit, Cristina volunteers her services as Company Secretary and Corporate Governance advisor to several start-ups.
